Helen Daintree -
All of the Wild Country images (and almost all of the images on this site) are the work of Australian nature/wildlife photographer Helen Daintree. Helen started taking photographs as a 10 year old using a box brownie camera and won several prizes in her 20’s. Her aim is to evoke a sense of awe and wonder in the viewer by ensuring the essence of the animal or landscape is communicated in the images, which undergo very little editing. When she is not travelling the world in search of the most unspoilt places and fascinating creatures to photograph, she lives on the small island of Karragarra just off the Queensland coast of Australia.
